I'm holding baby Jona, so it's hard to type, but I just wanted to tell everyone that "the last minute potluck" at Ron and Elaine's was so wonderful! Thank you, Wanda, for taking me and my kids. The food was great! Elijah, LuLu, Deirdra...everyone was so nice. And thank you Ron and Elaine for putting up with Raymond and for that phenom cheezecake. The absolute bomb!

See you all soon..

Hi Althea,

You're quite welcome and thanks for coming out to help make the event a success. Don't sell yourself short, now. The Kale Salad you brought really was something to write home about. Um, Um, Um. . . Um and I don't mean Quiznos! You're so right about Elijah, his energy seemed to make the "Liquid Sunshine" go away.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Oh yes, there are photos of the event in 's home page. Check them out when you get a chance.

Good Health to You

Elaine

Greetings,

Let me say a few words before they do something else wonderful. (Oh

too late. Elaine just helped us with our transitioning get-

together. Thanks Elaine.) Ron and Elaine, my favorite host and

hostess, made us all feel welcomed and encouraged at their August

potluck. I got to sample some good soups, and some out-of-sight go-

go greens. In fact, I did more than sample, I bought a whole

container of those greens.

Thank you Ron for helping me to prepare my strawberry soup. I came

with the ingredients (well, most of them), and he supplied what was

missing, along with his generous energy to help me put it all

together. All to good effect, it was yummy!

I always enjoy meeting and chatting with the various Raw Soulers in

person, and with the wonderful ambience that our hosts provide

(including that slammin' paint job ;o) ), it's a win-win

combination. Peace and Blessings

I entirely agree that Elaine and Ron are among the most gracious hosts whose

company I've ever had the pleasure & honor to enjoy. I'm sorry I was unable to

attend that potluck last month. However, I've notified everyone here of my first

potluck I've planned this Saturday at 3 PM and have yet to hear from most likely

interested attendees. Everyone who enjoys meeting other Raw Soul'ers should look

forward to this event, even if a small road trip may be involved, given the

scenic location, atmosphere, vibes & variety of food. Prompt RSVP's would be

highly appreciated so I know how many to expect. Thanks in advance.

David

Dear Lynda,

There's no reason for confusion. The potluck to which the original poster

referred was on August 27. My potluck is this coming Saturday, as I previously

stated, including in an " Addendum " email, September 17. I'd love to have people

from all over the area attend. Geography shouldn't be a contingency factor

against attending my potluck, any more than it's ever been for me against

driving to Silver Spring, Rockville, Alexandria, Arlington or anywhere else

outside a stone's throw for me. Come one, come all! Don't be a stranger, but

please RSVP without delay. Thanks again.
