Guest guest
Yes, Lancaster Foods in Jessup, MD just off of Rt. 95 and Rt. 1 (Take 175 exit toward Jessup) has GREAT bulk organic produce. I go there almost every week. You can call ahead (or email) and ask for the organic price list. They will email it to you and you can see what they have and call in your order and come in between 10 am and 4:00 (I think) Mon - Fri. and I'm not sure Sat. hours. You back your van/car up to a garage door and then go in to the office and tell them you're there and they call to have the order brought to your door number, or to the main lobby and you look at it and then must pay in cash or check. Make sure you look at the produce before you pay and if you don't like it, ask either for a change or just don't get it. I really like to talk with Josh to order, Scott is rather business like & short with you, but still efficient :-) Lancaster Foods, 1800 247-8125 or 310 621-2717 or 410 799-0010 Nancy www.healthylivingstragies.net On Behalf Of TaraTuesday, September 06, 2005 4:08 PM Subject: organic OrangesDoes anyone know of a good place to get organic oranges in bulk? Guest guest
Tara, You can usually buy 4 lb. bags of organic oranges from Trader Joe's for $3.69. Roots Market in Clarksville, MD, now has a sale on organic Valencia oranges for $1.09/lb. They will probably also sell you a case of them for 10% less, as they did for me a few months ago when I bought a case of gold kiwis from them.
