Guest guest
Hi Lynda, Is this the same as the KTEC or are they different models?
Guest guest
KTEC , is another machine . I once did a demo with the machine at a Workshop with Nomi Shannon "Raw Gourmet " She sells the KTEC. After working with it for several minutes my sweet potatoes were not getting creamy. I changed in the middle of the demo and got a Vita Mix. The KETC is shorter and has a computer chip. So I would say the KTEC is an intelligent machine but the Vita Mix is a work horse. So I prefer my food to come out Best or Better . Vita Mix is my choice. Create A Wonderful Day , Lynda
Guest guest
David , have you used the Vita Mix 4500 series and the 5000 series? I have used them all. So I am speaking from my experience. Coupled with the fact I used them all pretty hard. I have used them all commercially. The KTEC with all of it's electronic savy did not cut the mustard .In my opinion Lynda .
Guest guest
Hi, Pam, The KTec Champ HP and Vitamix blenders are completely different models since they're made by competing companies. I've been using a K-Tec blender for over 4 years and it works quite well for a broad array of common uses. If you click onto www.living-foods.com and scroll down the left-hand margin to click Marketplace, you'll find a chart comparing these 2 with another similar blender so you can choose one that suits your needs best. The warranties vary along with the wattage and suggested uses, so it's a handy guide. All 3 are relatively expensive but worthwhile if you're an educated consumer (Sy Sym's best customer). Guest guest
Lynda, I haven't used the Vitamix blender b/c the K-Tec fit my bill when I shopped for a high-powered blender several years ago to improve on my Sunbeam Osterizer. IOW the chart to which I referred convinced me that it was what I needed at the time. I don't regret buying it, especially since the motor has a lifetime warranty and the case has an 8-year warranty. I know the Vitamix is superb for certain purposes, especially commercially. I also don't need to cut any mustard anyhow since that's not a condiment I typically buy or need to make anymore.
