Guest guest
Does anyone have a green soup recipe that is relatively tasty, if not enjoyable at all, to share with me? I've been eating raw green soups with many combinations of greens/sprouts for a week now but it all tastes horrible. I know the benefits of this soup and really want to incorporate it into my daily diet, but I swear I gag every time I try to eat it. Maybe I don't know the right greens and sprouts, so if anyone has a yummy recipe to share I would greatly appreciate it. Or if the answer is to " suck it up Sonia " and take it like a champ I'll keep on gagging. Well thanks as always for the wealth of information and support I receive from this group. Also, try the celery soup recipe (the green there is celery) on my website: http://www.rawfoodwiki.org/index.php/Cream%20of%20Celery%20Soup I love it. Guest guest
Hi Sonia, For starters go here: http://www.fromsadtoraw . They're not all necessarily green but you shouldn't have to go "YUK" after tasting them. You should also take a minuet to go to the "Files" section of 's home page where you'll find loads of websites to explore for requests such as these. Here's a recipe that's just what the title says and at least the color is green: AVOCADO DREAM SOUP Meat of 1 ripe avocado 3 TBS of Nama Shoyu or celtic sea salt to taste 1/4 C fresh squeezed lime juice 1/4 of a bunch of fresh cilantro 1/4 tsp of ground cumin 3-4 cloves of garlic 3/4 C of warm water Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until desired smoothness. Sprinkle on top any item that you think will taste good such as: cayenne pepper, papricka, chilli powder, chopped celery, bell peppers or spring onions, just to name a few. Serves one. Eat immediately. Does not keep over night or for later.Good Health to You Elaine Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars. Add photos, events, holidays, whatever. Guest guest
Margie, Thanks for the recipe, it sounds delicious. I don't know why I didn't think of celery because it tastes good. I will also get " Green for Life! Guest guest
Hi Elaine, The avocado recipe sounds good like a creamy avocado dressing. I will try it. Thanks for the link too.
