Hello raw family!

I went to the loving life cafe in New Oxford and it was worth the hour+ drive

from

Baltimore to experience the raw tacos! New Oxford is a nice little town with

antique stores

everywhere. (It is also a few minutes from Hanover which is a bigger town.)

The tacos were out of this world. Using soaked walnuts, cashews, and almonds

with

spices, the chef Tom has created the most delicious taco-like experience! The

guac and

almond sour cream really make it special. The red corn shells are delicious as

are the flax

corn chips with a fresh tomato salsa on the side! For dessert we had chocolate

coconut

shakes which were creamy and authentic using young coconut and high quality

cacao.

Look for music there on Friday nights from 6pm until 9pm in the near future.

They are

just getting started but already have an amazing menu of authentically raw

treats. I was

really impressed that they took the trouble to soak the nuts there too. This

makes the

food so much more digestible and nutritious. Jodi gave us a little taste of the

raw ice

cream made with raw cashew cream and vanilla bean, topped with a raw chocolate

sauce.

This one made me want to come back for more.

I left there feeling full, satisfied and energized!

Go out and support these folks if you can. It takes a lot of work and guts to

bring a

rawsterant into mainstream America. We need more of these places.

Wishing you all carrot juice in your coffee cups!

perfect love,

Michael

Michael,

I agree, very worth the trip. I went yesterday evening and everything

I ate was perfection and I left stuffed.

I started with a green smoothie - yum. Next a house salad, it had

hemp seeds on it (You don't see that too often). Then I had the most

amazing tacos. I don't know how they made them nor how they made the

chips and salsa, but wow! Then my husband and I each split a bowl of

ice cream, and then we kept on going.... we split a cinnamon roll, and

then we split a chocolate torte. I think we ended with a little more

ice cream, because it was so delicious. I was amazed at everything.

I'm going back next Sunday. I hope to see you all there.

Helen
