Greetings Members:Realizing how difficult it can be to enjoy a dinner of your choosing while sitting along side your family and friends who have already declared that you're nuts, I have taken a few minuets to find a few fairly inexpensive meal ideas for you. Now I do admit some these recipes will require your creativity so follow your taste buds for taste and texture.Go here for turkey and cranberry sauce.http://www.hishealingways.com/mockturkey/mockturkey.htmlFor a new kick on Cranberry Relish, go here:http://www.fromsadtoraw.com/Recipes/CranberryandFruitRelish.htmSee attachment for Greens. For Mashed/Smashed Potatoes go here:http://www.fromsadtoraw.com/Recipes/MashedPotatoesandGravy.htm OR if you have Julianno's "Raw" try his recipe for the a gourmet kick.Like Apple Cobbler w/Coconut Cream

Topping? Go here for a few desert recipes: http://www.healthfree.com/raw_food_recipes.html OR if you have the "Complete Book of Raw," thumb through for a variety of recipies. If you reside in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area pull out all of those recipes from the number of classes you've had with:Lynda CarterLaVerne McDonaldDenzell Mitchell (Cheffy D)Dr. Amen (especially the Emperor's Forbidden Rice) it may not be too late to sprout your Black Rice, provided you start today.Last but not least, for those who attended 's Pot Lucks here with Ron and myself and you either carefully took notes or received copies of recipes, pull them out now. It would sadden us to know that with all of the tasting of juices, nut mylks, green drinks, smoothies and vice cream on the spot with Ron that you wouldn't

take this time to show what you know. A good dinner treat for whatever you're celebrating does not have to consist of turkey and all the trimmings. Most of you have noticed the Live Food Platter in 's homepage, right? Well, that's the platter I prepared about three years ago and took to work with me for MY Christmas Dinner (archieved message #167). You can be just as creative, pull from your resources.Enjoy your day however you spend it!Good Health to You

Thank you Elaine for these wonderful recipes. This year, I will make the cranberry sauce separately, the gogo greens and mock spaghetti with a tahini dressing. I'm all live again and feeling better every day!

Blessings to all for a healthy and safe holiday.

love always,

Pam

Greetings Pam,You're quite welcome. Every little bit can help someone, somewhere. There's still a few steps to this process. Some have to convince themselves to make the recipes, actually take them to the family event and then place them on the table without being intimidated. One thing to remember, presentation is key and will get them every time. The more appetizing your dishes look the more inquisitive they'll be and maybe even brave enough to ask to taste. But be careful, as you know, they'll eat yours and theirs too.One major thing to remember members, all that you've learned, experienced and lived to date about the benefits of the Raw Foods Lifestyle and the consequences of making bad food choices comes into play now, more than ever. This occasion comes every year and if you made excuses last year and lived to suffer through it, focus on being stronger this year and staying the course. Don't look at saying

"I'm sure it's great but No Thanks, I have my own" as being disrespectful to your family and friends. How about insisting that others including yourself, respecting your food choices for a change? It's amazing, the affects of just one day of bad eating can do to the body among other things.atzzill wrote: Thank you Elaine
