Guest guest
http://www.stop-paraquat.net/vote.cfm I know we must take action against pesticides in our foods. If we don't, who will? I would also invite your to join Peticides and You. I get nothing but better health for the planet in doing this. Louise
Guest guest
Louise-- Thanks for posting the link. We all need to get involved in saving our food supply from the corporate interests that are actively trying to destroy it. Even more devastating are the machinations of the Codex Alimentarius committee, whose world-governing food and supplement laws will go into effect Dec. 31, 2009. If allowed to go forward, Codex will unleash a deadly arsenal of previously banned pesticides into our food supply, and all produce will have to be irradiated-- and that's just for starters. Here is one link for news and action on Codex issues: http://www.nancyleebentley.com/ Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail beta. Guest guest
Hi Angie, I know just how you feel. The good news, though, is that there are some great people working on this issue, and they are making progress. . . and each of us can be part of that progress by working in our own communities to educate our legislators and our friends, and help to get a strong grassroots movement going. The worst thing we can do is give up because we think it's a done deal. It's scheduled to go into effect Dec. 31, 2009, but negotiations are going on. Already, the South African delegates to Codex have made such a stink about the mandate to put fluoride in baby formula (yes, isn't that gross?!) that it was finally taken off the table. There's lots more work to do though, and activists are badly needed. Check out the Natural Solutions Foundation. They have a great video -- much of which you can see on Google videos for free, and you can also buy it and show it in your community-- and a lot of other great ways for individuals to get involved and make a difference.
