Guest guest
Here's the link to an article on BBC News regarding the use of human proteins in rice by the company Ventria, which supposedly will be used to combat health issues such as dehydration and diarrhea. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6422297.stm Interestingly enough, the article states that the public has until the end of March to submit objections. However, I wonder how much of the public is even aware of such a consideration.(?) Gerald
Guest guest
I have seen the film, The Future of Food, I have read articles about "terminator seeds", I've tried to consume what is deemed "good for me" and I find that instead of driving myself crazy about all the "unknowns", I bless what I am fortunate to consume. Being able to have food on hand to eat is a blessing. Being able to make choices about the food is an even greater blessing. I am grateful for the food that I have and I will bless what I consume. I feel that attempting to pinpoint all the reasons why not to eat this or that really takes, rather than adds to the pleasure of enjoying a good meal. No one knows what they are eating. Bless your food and enjoy. Sonia D. Smith, Christian Lifestylisthttp://www.1863ad.comPrevent. Protect. Guest guest
Sounds like " eat drink and be merry <spiritual version> for tomorrow we die " . Maybe we don't have to die (at least quite so soon). That's what raw foods (among many other things) are about. God helps those who help themselves. Guest guest
Yes, let us also remember the essence of live foods as one of reverence. Reverence for the body as the temple of the great spirit and reverence for all creatures as children of the great spirit. Yes to blessing our food and yes to consciousness about how we prepare and eat our food. one love pam dpierce Sat, 10 Mar 2007 8:38 AM Re: Re:'Medicine Rice' Sounds like "eat drink and be merry <spiritual version> for tomorrow we die".
