Guest guest
Greetings All, I am writing to get any and all suggestions about ways to revamp (improve, change if needed) our freggies boxes. Also any and all suggestions on how to get the word out to more folks about the co-op. I am also taking information and suggestions on different drop off locations, and times. Also as stated before a location for a market (which government funding has just been released for farmers markets). What would you change add ect. I'm open to information, this co-op is what I have started but it doesn't just impact my family, so I do want feedback. If you were to do it all what would you do differently? Guest guest
A case study... can Freggies work for me? Hi. I just started working in DC, and live in Baltimore. I am commuting, it's a new job, and I'm tired all the time. I have an evening class, along with a number of other obligations that leave me with little time lately. that's all context for: I'm interested, but don't know if I can make it work. My office is at 1330 U Street, NW. I joined your listserv. I'm not sure if Friday organic delivery will work out, especially if the food arrived after lunch... because it would sit over the weekend, and then I'd have it just Monday, and Tuesday... and I don't work on Wednesdays. I requested at the office that I get an additional refrigerator. the request landed at the desk of an office administrator who sent out an email today offering sugary snacks to all. She said something about concerns of the energy drain of another fridge (a box of veggies would compete for space with all the other staff's stuff in the kitchen fridge.) I'd like to find a small very energy efficient fridge, the " under-counter " size. I don't have a car in DC. I don't have time... I would love to see if I can be part of this.... is it possible? Ideal would be a farmers market a block away from where I work! Anyhow, that's where I'm at. I truly hope I can get another fridge, to support my desire to be eating much more healthfully than I have been in these last weeks of new-job/6-train commute/life stress. Guest guest
Margie, This link below has the koolatron cooler/heater that I have and love. I take it on trips and keep it in my hotel. It is a bit heavy when it's full, but if you are going to just keep it in the office it's no big deal. http://www.1ofakindbuys.com/vendor.cfm/1511,Koolatron,MX1?source=googleppc This link below has other coolers which have a handle and wheels - they look neat too. http://www.koolatron.com/ Nancy Parlette HEALTHY LIVING STRATEGIES Natural Health Counselor Nutrition Educator ENERGIZING YOU FOR LIVING!
