Guest guest
I just recently saw a film entitled, " What the Bleep do we know " and it made the strong argument, that in fact we know very little about what is going on around us. Towards the end of the film, the main character, a woman, is standing in front of a mirror and visualizing herself as fat and undesirable. That was the conversation that she had been running in her head for years-- so as a result, that is what she gets. Her cells have literally mutated to create cellulite, etc. The film certainly had me questioning if it is the food the heals us or some other power. I am clear now that all health begins in the mind of the afflicted individual, but the question still stands, how do you get afflicted individuals to get a made up mind to step on the path the wellness? a great man once said, " It is not what goes in the mouth that defiles us, but what comes out of our mouths " . Guest guest
The question you pose is a very good one. As vegetarians, or even raw foodist, we often misperceive health as being isolated strictly to food. By no means is the case! Health is the synergistic combination of a balanced Mind, Body, and Spirit. The outer reflects the inner; and not vice versa. In fact, people will often make unhealthy food choices that correspond to their unhealthy inner states. Conversely, people will often arrive at the decision to eat more healthy foods based on an inner purification of the Heart or of a disciplined determination that goes beyond simply eating better. In otherwords, food alone will not 'make' anyone healthy. In fact, simply by harboring thoughts and emotional states of fear, hate, anger, impatience, etc., will have devasting effects on one's health; even those who are 100% raw foodists! Although we can never(nor should we desire to) force anyone into living a more healthy lifestyle(not based solely on food), we should first be a Beauty-full reflection of a healthy state of Be-ing; in every respect. Only when we ourselves are a 'credible' shining example, will people be willing to follow our lead. When become guides, we should first encourage the individual to go within. , fay keys <fayd20 wrote: > > Very profound > > > > > --- Sonia <1863ad wrote: > > > I just recently saw a film entitled, " What the Bleep > > do we know " and it made > > the strong argument, that in fact we know very > > little about what is going on > > around us.
