Guest guest
Wasn't that a great event? I think the raw food was a big hit, especially the RAWsagnas. Even the Durien was well received, surprisingly. Michelle did a great job of speaking. It was truly exciting to hear about Karen's vision for a raw food restaurant. AND it was great to hear from Carol Sue Janes who invited us to her restaurant, Cafe Ambrosia, for an elegant raw dinner on June 28. I think we intermingled well, offering our perspectives to the curious. I hope this becomes a regular event. There is a West Seattle " pod " of EarthSavers starting up potlucks. Perhaps we can join together--- my West Seattle " pod " and theirs. What are some other comments about last night's event?
Guest guest
> >What are some other comments about last night's event? > I actually got full on raw food at an EarthSave potluck! Hopefully, there will be more raw food (and raw foodists) showing up on a regular basis in the future. I enjoyed Michelle's talk. (Thanks again Michelle!) Guest guest
Yes, it was great to hear that there were many questions from EarthSave members who haven't joined RawSeattle (yet!) and to let them know about and taste raw foods. That one outspoken guy in the audience was pretty entertaining. He cracked me up. I'm not ridiculing him though. Another point: There were a couple spelling mistakes by Linda and Jeff in their message posts immediately before this here one of mine. Linda--it's druiAn, not duriEn; Jeff--it's MicheLe, not MicheLLe. Those are two too-important words not to pay the proper respect to! ;-) Understand, my intention here is not to be picky. I'm actually trying to be jocular in pointing out this issue of paying " proper respect " to the Fruit and its Empress. :-)
Guest guest
The sincerity factor is is one of the most important components in the sharing of ideas. Michele was radiant- i truly admired her up there, and as she moved closer into her own experience, i felt much of audience follow. The sincerity of the rawsagna chefs was tasty!! I almost fudged on the buffet table by picking up a cooked (dolma) item. While confusing, it was a nice metaphor of the cookies and the un-cookies co-existing.... The people i spoke to after the event, all veggies, we very excited about Sun Raw. One women spoke to me emphatcially about how much a place like this needed. Several of you expressed continued interest in Sun Raw. I'd like to set up a 'think tank'-luck at my housesoon after we return from Portland. Im leaning towards that Monday night, the 25th, but want to know everyones' preferences. K --- heartsong98136 wrote: > Wasn't that a great event? Guest guest
Karen, I suggest you start up either a poll or a database for this. It will make it easier for you to coordinate. Need help? Just ask. Help will appear! :-) peace, Linda > > Several of you expressed continued interest in Sun > Raw. I'd like to set up a 'think tank'-luck at my > housesoon after we return from Portland. Guest guest
Oops. Thanks for the spelling corrections. Who wrote this anyway? :-) Yes, I misspelled Durian. I know better. I get Michele's name and Socorro's name mixed up all the tiime (typo) with the extra letters (or not.) thanks again. It's worth paying attention to. Guest guest
Yes, he was pretty entertaining. Did you know he is hearing impaired? That is why he talks so loudly. -Linda > rawseattle > RawSeattle > Fri, 15 Jun 2001 22:29:25 -0000 > RawSeattle > [RawSeattle] Re: Last night at EarthSave > > That one outspoken guy in the audience was pretty entertaining. Guest guest
Celeste- thanks for scouting for restaurant space! 70th NW is farther away than I have ever looked. Ideally, the space will be centrally located- with both moderate to high foot traffic and available parking. I'm trying to get some assistance on creating a poll to find out what date would be best for everyone who'd like to come over. Is there a preferred date for you? Guest guest
Hi Karen, except Monday and Thursday all days are good for me, not after 7 PM on Sundays. Will be leaving town June 30th for almost the whole July, hope one of those days we get together and talk about the Restaurant, which I am so excited about.
