Guest guest
Is anyone planning a Thanksgiving potluck? I saw no listing on the calendar. The ownership of the house I am in is in transition. The sale will take place on either side of Thanksgiving. The new owner is OK with me having a potluck here. The current owner will get back to me. Hopefully, I'll be able to have one here. Please let me know if you are currently planning something for that day. Also, whatever the location may be, please share any ideas for the potluck. I am thinking around 1:00 PM. We could have a few courses with some time in between. We could arrange different items and courses ahead of time, so we get a nice variety (I'll make pumpkin soup, as long as I can find some good organic pumpkin). Please share your thoughts. Guest guest
this sounds great, Jeff. I also saw some posts about Doe Bay. Personally, I have the day after T'giving off from work, making it a 4 day weekend for me. Is anyone interested in pursuing Doe Bay for a 4 day raw Thanksgiving holiday? Just an idea starter. Otherwise, I would love for us to gather on Thanksgiving somewhere. My house is also open, if you like. Jeff, are you up for organizing this event? We definitely need an event coordinator. Guest guest
Jeff Thank you for hosting the Thanksgiving potluck. I'll be there. I don't know yet what I'll be bringing and am open to suggestions. I'm planing on attending Victoria's upcoming Thanksgiving dinner class. Hopefully I'll get some ideas from her. Guest guest
Jeff, I'd like to bring my daughter to the potluck. I'll make sushi if I find my favorable ingredients. Will that be appetizer? I'll bring some persimmons too. We can see what everyone brings and go from there! I just decided to add some string beans almondine to my menu (given I have enough time). It's a bit nostalgic, but should translate to raw OK.
