Thanksgiving Potluck

Is anyone planning a Thanksgiving potluck? I saw no listing on the calendar.

The ownership of the house I am in is in transition. The sale will

take place on either side of Thanksgiving. The new owner is OK with

me having a potluck here. The current owner will get back to me.

Hopefully, I'll be able to have one here. Please let me know if you

are currently planning something for that day. Also, whatever the

location may be, please share any ideas for the potluck. I am

thinking around 1:00 PM. We could have a few courses with some time

in between. We could arrange different items and courses ahead of

time, so we get a nice variety (I'll make pumpkin soup, as long as I

can find some good organic pumpkin). Please share your thoughts.

this sounds great, Jeff.

I also saw some posts about Doe Bay. Personally, I have the day

after T'giving off from work, making it a 4 day weekend for me. Is

anyone interested in pursuing Doe Bay for a 4 day raw

Thanksgiving holiday?

Just an idea starter.

Otherwise, I would love for us to gather on Thanksgiving

somewhere. My house is also open, if you like. Jeff, are you up

for organizing this event? We definitely need an event

coordinator. [grin]

Happy Thanksgiving!

You're invited to join Jeff in Fremont for a Raw Thanksgiving Potluck.

Join others in our raw food family on this special day. Let's

celebrate nature's (raw) bounty together!

2-3 PM Appetizers

3-4 PM Soup & Salad

4-5 PM Entres

5-6 PM Deserts

(give or take!)

Please let Jeff know ahead of time with what you'll be bringing.

Hi all!

Advanced warning: My home's new owner will be moving in and I don't

know what furniture (if any) will be here. At least we have space!

If you are interested, please let me know, so we can plan the menu.

It's only 16 days away, so start making your plans!

Thank you for hosting the Thanksgiving potluck. I'll be there. I don't know

yet what I'll be bringing and am open to suggestions. I'm planing on attending

Victoria's upcoming Thanksgiving dinner class. Hopefully I'll get some ideas

from her.

See you,

Glad to hear you can join us! I'm sure whatever you bring will be

wonderful! I also hope to be there Saturday, so will likely see you

there. I will probably make some pumpkin soup and cranberry sauce

(among possible other things - depending on time).

See you soon!

So far I am planning the pumpkin soup and cranberry sauce (and

others). Other foods mentioned thus far are wild rice pilaf with

cranberries, stuffing, and gravy. Others haven't specified yet. I'd

just like us to have a nice variety.

Certainly!!! It would be great to have you! My house just changed

owners. The new owner hasn't moved his furniture in yet, so we won't

have a lot of furniture, but we do have a lot of space!

See you Thursday?

If anyone is able to pick up Sara on Thanksgiving to bring her to the

potluck (and back?) please email her directly. She'll be coming via

ferry.

Thanks,

Jeff,

I'd like to bring my daughter to the potluck. I'll make sushi if I find my

favorable ingredients. Will that be appetizer? I'll bring some persimmons

too.

Helen,

Glad to hear you can join us! Sushi sounds great. Sounds like an

appetizer, but I won't worry about which course it is. We can see

what everyone brings and go from there! I just decided to add some

string beans almondine to my menu (given I have enough time). It's a

bit nostalgic, but should translate to raw OK.

Corn salad sounds great. Below are some other confirmed items. (Not

everyone knew what they'd be bringing)

Everyone - our dining and living areas are rather baron, since the

previous owner moved out. I'll have about 9 chairs (no couches,

etc). If you have some simple chairs or cushions you'd like to

bring, feel free! Otherwise, there's plenty of floor space to sit on!

Jeff

A few planned items:

pumpkin soup, waldorf salad, string beans almondine, cranberry sauce,

kale salad and some nog, sushi & persimmons, fucus pu pu's and maybe

a portabella thingie, Pineapple & baby salad greens
