feel about it. I know a man who has been studying tax law for 20+

years. He has discovered in his research what many others have

found, essentially that there is no legal basis for the

federal " income " tax as we know it. In fact, he believes that most

of us are not even required by law to file returns or allow our

employers to withhold taxes from our paychecks. If any of you

attended Juliano's talk in Portland last year, he made reference to

this little-known truth during his presentation.

certainly makes sense that we raw types would be interested and

inquisitive about this topic, since we are nothing if not open to

hearing truth, even if it opposes what we think we already know. My

friend, Jack, would be willing to come to a potluck and give a

presentation for a minimal fee, say $5-10 per person. Would anyone

be interested in hearing what he has to say?

There is a group in Vancouver, BC called De-Tax and all they do is educate people like you and me about the legalities and constitutional rights that go with signing that contract called an income tax form. If you sign it you are in contract if you don't the contract is not legally binding. I'd be interested in a tax law education too! joyce - Nora Lenz Monday, April 01, 2002 7:12 PM RawSeattle [RawSeattle] Potluck talk idea Hi all, I mentioned an idea I had to a couple members of our group and got positive feedback, so I wanted to find out how the rest of you feel about it.
