Guest guest
I switching my monthly potluck location from my house to Folk Life. Yes? Who's coming? Noon on Saturday 3/25--meet at the SW corner of the fountain, near the sculpture. Is that a fish? There will probably be kids crawling all over it. :-) Big ones and little ones--- Let's keep it simple and just bring what you are willing to carry around.... your own picnic would probably be in order. If you have something lightweight to share, that would be nice. Let's meet, eat, and share Folk Life together. What do ya say? Let me know who to be looking out for---- :-) Heartsong (Linda)

Guest guest
yes, norm, and yes, linda, i am going to be at the gamelan stuff, that is always very exciting...and a firm meeting spot should be established, by the fountain, wherever, not important, just get your raw spirit over there, and eat some yummy mangoes,etc... so everybody can see you...that will send " the meassage " .... no better way to communicate... i happened to participate at a pcc meeting recently, karen parker was supposed to be there and do some talking maybe... but it was pretty exciting anyway... they are in a voting season...a dozen or so candidates showed up, and each of them spoke to the audience of a few " consumers " , telling all kinds of politically, and communitily, and healthconsciously, and businnessly and economically correct versions of the same ol' stuff until i stepped in, and told them, if they want to succed and beat the " evil trader joe's impire " they should have a well defined purpose (the ones heard were so lame, it's a shame to repeat on this site), and they should have all the good and ripe and fresh and local and exotix fruits for less, they should have a clearer idea about what health and nutrition is about, i suggested them to come over to our potlucks and meet " the real people " with the real needs...they put me on their " special " list, being invited to their meetings... i was smeshing... i pointed out the impossibility of their becoming some kind of " elite " health food store of some kind of their fantasies... told them about us... about the future, as it should be and ought to be ... i am sorry of not knowing about this earlier, so i could let everybody know.... but it is a great sign to what degree our influence can be on so many things going on nowadays, and of course, mangoes are the greatest nowadays, have you had your mango today? .... teena is coming home...peace and more mangoes, ladies and gen'lmen... --- kelpguy <kelpguy wrote: > > Folk Life Potluck-Picnic > > > > I switching my monthly potluck location from my > house to Folk Life. > > Yes? Guest guest
What a great idea Norm-- a base camp. YES! That's it. I think I'll plan to arrive around 11:30 at base camp...eat...share mangos with Atilla [smile] and then go to Gamelan with you two. Gamelan is verrrry coool music from Bali. I've seen it before. We should get there EARLy to be sure we get in the door! Other folks can show up and take off together wherever their heart calls them. [i highly recommend Gamelan, however] :-) thanks, Atilla, for sharing your story! I just saw a job opening at Whole Foods....sounds a bit over my head...but interesting! It would be nice to be a part of the management of one of our favorite food stores, and influence their decisions from the inside. I've been eating mangos by the case...taking break...for watermelons--- :-) --Heartsong RawSeattle, attila madaras <Attila86@Y...> wrote: > yes, norm, and yes, linda, i am going to be at the > gamelan stuff, that is always very exciting...and > a firm meeting spot should be established, by the > fountain, wherever, not important, just get your raw > spirit over there, and eat some yummy mangoes,etc... > so everybody can see you...that will send " the > meassage " .... no better way to communicate... i > happened to participate at a pcc meeting recently, > karen parker was supposed to be there and do some > talking maybe... but it was pretty exciting anyway... > they are in a voting season...a dozen or so candidates > showed up, and each of them spoke to the audience of > a few " consumers " , telling all kinds of politically, > and communitily, and healthconsciously, and > businnessly > and economically correct versions of the same ol' > stuff > until i stepped in, and told them, if they want to > succed and beat the " evil trader joe's impire " > they should have a well defined purpose (the ones > heard were so lame, it's a shame to repeat on this > site), and they should have all the good and ripe and > fresh and local and exotix fruits for less, they > should > have a clearer idea about what health and nutrition > is about, i suggested them to come over to our > potlucks and meet " the real people " with the real > needs...they put me on their " special " list, being > invited to their meetings... i was smeshing... > i pointed out the impossibility of their becoming > some kind of " elite " health food store of some kind > of their fantasies... told them about us... about > the future, as it should be and ought to be ... i am > sorry of not knowing about this earlier, so i could > let everybody > know.... but it is a great sign to what degree our > influence can be on so many things going on nowadays, > and of course, mangoes are the greatest nowadays, > have you had your mango today? .... teena is coming > home...peace and more mangoes, ladies and gen'lmen... > > > --- kelpguy <kelpguy@i...> wrote: > > > Folk Life Potluck-Picnic > > > > > > I switching my monthly potluck location from my > > house to Folk Life. > > > Yes? Guest guest
Sure. Can you take care of that? :-) I'm thinking about taking Friday off work--weather permitting. If it's yukky, I'm saving my vacation time! Linda > > > What a great idea Norm-- a base camp. YES!
