Guest guest
Jennifer - do you have a recipe for making vice cream? I know bananas in the juicer and other fruits, but would love to know about vice cream. Shari
Guest guest
Could you post some of the recipes maybe? I tried to get it but it doesn't seem to be available in Canada. Deborah Not a typo. It's a book that my friend got a few weeks ago. She made peppermint vice cream and chocolate vice cream. The main ingredient is cashews, and the [v]icecream is so smooth--you'd think it was commercial. Get the book. It's awesome! ) Nichole Bunnie <hmmmmnbird wrote: Sorry, I don't really have any suggestions, but I'm curious if that is a typo, or there really is something called " vice cream " . Sounds decadent. Guest guest
Well, I just made the strawberry today, so I have the recipe fresh in my mind. This, and all the recipes use an icecream maker. 24 oz organic hulled strawberries--Juiced, to make 2 1/2 cups of juice 1 1/2 cups organic raw cashews 1 cup pure organic maple syrup Combine ingredients in blender and blend until extremely smooth. Refrigerate until cold. Pour contents into an icecream maker and follow manufacturer's directions. Takes about 30 minutes to soft freeze. If you want it harder, put in air-tight containers and freeze until desired consistency. Makes about a quart. oh, here's the one for Chocolate that my friend sent me. Chocolate (makes about 1 quart) 1 3/4 cups organic cashews or cashew pieces 1 2/3 cups purified water 1 cup maple syrup 2 teaspoons alcohol-free vanilla flavor 1/4 teaspoon alcohol-free almond flavor 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Combine the cashews, water, syrup, vanilla flavor, and almond flavor in a blender. Blend on high until silky smooth, at least one minute. With the motor running, add the cocoa powder and blend until evenly distributed. Place the blender in the freezer for 40 minutes to 1 hour or in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to overnight, until well chilled. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. Serve immediately or transfer to airtight containers and store in the freezer until ready to serve. Enjoy... ) Nichole Deborah Pageau <dpageau wrote: Could you post some of the recipes maybe? I tried to get it but it doesn't seem to be available in Canada. Deborah Not a typo.
