The Essene Church promotes a raw plant-based diet. According to the flyer " If people show up and there is interest, the Essene Church will open a branch in Seattle. If you want that to happen, SHOW UP! " The speaker will be the worldwide head of the Essene Church of Christ, Brother Nazariah, who spoke at last years Raw Festival. The topic will be " The Ancient and Modern Essenes. " Following the service will be a vegetarian potluck (I am interested in attending and would love to see lots of raw food there.)
