I heard the annual Health Fest, or something like that is coming up

in October at the Seattle Center.

Seems like that would be a great place to be represented.

If someone wants to champion that, I might be able to help.

Yes, what a great idea. I'll help too. I'm assuming we're all talking about

EarthSave's annual health fair. Jeff, do you know when it is? And how we

might go about getting table space, the cost, etc.?

EarthSave's Taste of Health is usually in October, but won't be

happening this year. If there is a health fair in October, I don't

know who's sponsoring it. You may want to check with Seattle Center.

Let me know what you find out. A table at such an event would be a

great place to have some flyers, as well as " business " cards that

we've been talking about.

I talked to somebody at Cafe Ambrosia and he said it will be held, but will be a

much smaller event. Three hours only, from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday October 5 at

University Christian Church. I'm going to call Earthsave tomorrow, see if I can

get more info. There's nothing on their website. I'll keep ya posted. Victor,

was it the Taste of Health you were thinking of? How did you find out about it?

Any specific info would be helpful.

Nora,

Here's the information on the 10/5 event with Ruth Heidrich, PhD. She

was the head of the Hawaii Vegetarian Society when I was a member. I

haven't heard her speak, but she's a nice gal and has a great story.

(I wonder what she thinks of raw)

Thanks, Jeff. That's very helpful! Disappointing that it's going to be a

smaller

event, but it's still a great opportunity I think. I'll follow up and keep you

posted.

I have heard the Ironwoman speak twice. She's fantastic and she's beautiful.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer at 47. I believe she is 67 now and

still running even after a car accident that injured her foot (and leg?). I

have her book " A Race for Life " (autographed) if anybody is interested in

reading about her.
