I just finished a great book and wanted to let everyone know about it! It's

by Fred Patenaude, reformed " Sunfood Cuisine " chef :-) and current publisher

of " Just Eat an Apple " Magazine (www.justeatanapple.com). Fred now eats very

simply, and recommends that others follow suit. In the book he talks about

common mistakes that raw fooders make and gives very good advice about how to

resist cravings, how to tell the difference between " true " and " false "

hunger, getting through detox, the importance of sleep, food combining and

much more. If there was ever a book that needed to be written, this is it!

Possibly a bit advanced if you're brand new to raw food, because it addresses

some rather esoteric issues like misconceptions that are unique to raw

fooders, but if you know the basics I think it's an absolutely essential

read. It's called " Raw Secrets " . I believe it's available on Amazon, but I

ordered it directly from Fred's website, rawvegan.com.

Thank you Nora for posting an interesting message.

I find that I am not getting what I need from this RawSeattle group since useful information like this is rare and mostly its just chat. I am curious if there is are people out there who would like to start a Seattle Raw Food information group that would actually discuss food and diet. Please let me know and I will start one if there is interest.

Niz- sounds excellent. I am very interested more in the facts and how to achieve my goals related to the rawfood lifestyle. If you have ideas to share let me know.
