Guest guest Posted January 22, 2003 Report Share Posted January 22, 2003 Thanks Socorro. I was having some second thoughts. It might be a bit premature to have Fred out. He's pretty young and not too well known yet. His book only came out a couple months ago. Judging by the response to my post, it doesn't seem like we could get enough attendees to guarantee to cover his flight. The other speakers we've gotten were well known in the community. By the time Loren came out, everyone had seen his video. We all knew who he was and that he was a great speaker. I feel kind of uncomfortable planning an event around somebody I know so little about, like how much speaking experience he's had, etc. Anybody else have any thoughts? He's not too well known, so we don't know if we can make enough money from attendance to pay his expenses. So far only 6 people (including you) are definitely interested.
