Guest guest
Nora, tell Robert to hit Pender and Keefer streets and report back. Dell from Bellingham went to Vancouver's Chinatown many times for the fruit too. I went there several times last summer, and it seemed they always had jackfruit and unfrozen durian, along with other excellent tropical fruits I'd never tasted before...mangosteen, sugar apple and soursap (same family as cherimoya), something looking like long an but different, dragon fruit. They also had lychee, long an, rambutan, sapote. How can you say all of that isn't worth it? :-) Arrange to go with friends on an off day, stay up there a while so as to try every fruit, have a picnic, and you've made a fun field trip out of it. :-) I'd be up for that. Any other takers? RawSeattle , " Nora Lenz " <nlenz@q...> wrote: > Yeah, I've thought about it. Any other takers? Oooooooh, yeah! I'd travel miles for mangosteen and soursop!! I practically lived off 'em while in Bali in March. What a treat! Now we'll just have to figure out what's in season when. Annette
Guest guest
Hmm, now I wonder if Robert has even been looking! :-) Thanks for the info on the specific streets, that's something I've been trying to get. I might be interested in the field trip/picnic/tropical fruit adventure later in the summer. Good idea Eric!
