Guest guest
Registration is on-going for the Loren Lockman seminar this weekend. I'll be giving the advance discount through Wednesday, so call soon if you want to reserve a seat. Whether you're new to raw food, trying to get motivated to start or have been doing the raw thing for a long time, you will learn a great deal at this seminar! Don't miss this special opportunity to increase your knowledge about the arguments for and benefits of eating raw from someone who will convince you beyond a shadow of doubt that it is the best thing you can do to improve your life and health! Also, a reminder, Loren will be giving a short talk at the potluck at Linda's on Friday. If you're planning to come and listen before making a decision about going to the seminar, I will extend the early registration discount to those who pay at the potluck. Please give me a call or send an email if this is what you're going to do, so I can add you to the list of possible attendees (this helps for planning, as we will be providing food for snacks on Saturday and lunch on Sunday). Feel free to call or email me directly if you need more info! I'll call you about this as well. Thanks, Eric RawSeattle , " Sue Aberle " <sue@a...> wrote: > It starts at noon, we usually try to be there an hour early to stake out a > good spot. Guest guest
I heard him speak last year, and I highly recommend listening to him. The information that he presents is well worth the registration fee. Guest guest
Hi Nora, Yoiu can count me as one of the people who is thinking about it and will decide after Friday night. I am leaning towards attending on Sunday only. I know a man named Phil from the UK who totally transformed his health at Loren's retreat center. He was at death's door and now radiates health. I was quite impressed! Namaste, Cindy
Guest guest
Thanks for that unsolicited testimonial, Sue! Response has been a bit discouraging. It may be because Loren hasn't written a book yet that people don't realize what an incredible resource he is. This seminar won't be a philosophical discussion about raw food, it will be practical, irrefutable, down-to-earth information that everyone can use to find optimal wellness, by incorporating all the principles of health which include eating raw food. I don't think there was one person of the 27 who attended last year that regretted spending the money, as everyone seemed completely engaged and involved in the discussion, and I got so much great feedback. Anyone who is experiencing health problems would benefit especially, as getting chronically sick people well again is what Loren specializes in. Loren will also be selling audio and video tapes at the seminar, which are especially helpful for new raw fooders who have skeptical friends or family. I have one friend who converted to raw food just from seeing one of Loren's videos, and another friend whose husband started fully supporting her decision to go raw after he viewed Loren's tape. Guest guest
I'd gathered that the response hadn't been very strong, since the discounts were being extended closer to the actual event. Possibly it's because of a combination of timing: between the poor economy (a lot of folks don't feel very rich right now to afford perceived extra things) and the fact that it is summer, and people are out and doing things, these may be strong factors. I know that my decision to not attend Rob and Anna Miller's presentation last month was based solely on the weather, which is why I had not committed in advance. I would have loved to have heard them speak, but as a hard-core gardener, I have some planting deadlines, which were rapidly approaching. Since the weather here gives us a rather narrow window in which to do things, I have to take advantage of every good weekend that I get. (This weekend we're going on a church outing on Saturday. I'd been wavering between doing that and listening to Loren another time. There again, the weather and the outdoors win!) See everybody on Friday! Guest guest
Well, ... today you could have enjoyed the weather AND listened to Loren, as we sat outside on the grass for most the day. Loren's talk was riveting, as usual. It's always different each time, because he doesn't use notes or an outline. So even if you've heard him speak before, you are guaranteed to learn something new. I think everyone who went today will agree that it was an extremely enlightening and engaging day, worth every penny of admission. It's always very gratifying to see people " getting it " after listening to Loren. Even people who come with a skeptical and doubting attitude end up seeing the sense of it by the end of the day. I keep thinking, I've gotta get this guy a major gig because he's too good to be talking in front of only 15 people! Anybody with connections to the media, please contact me ... Loren visiting Seattle may or may not become an annual event, as it might be more difficult for him once he moves out of the country. Last minute takers for the food prep demo tomorrow are welcome, just email or call me before 9:00 a.m. Nora nmlenz 425.498.2445 Original Message: ----------------- Sue Aberle sue Wed, 25 Jun 2003 20:37:57 -0700 RawSeattle RE: [RawSeattle] Last chance for Loren Lockman discount I'd gathered that the response hadn't been very strong, since the discounts were being extended closer to the actual event.
