After 3 years of financial struggle, Cafe Ambrosia is closing August 1. Francis Janes told me the sad news tonight. They've sold the building to a cooking school which will open in that location. I don't know whether they're having 1 last raw foods dinner. It will be a shame to see them go. :-(

This is super sad news. :*-( I say we hold out hope that we can

create such a business again some day, the sooner the better.

Perhaps they can even re-open under the same name! :-) In the

future, we should keep aprised of how things are going so that we can

do something to help when there's still time.

They have a standing agreement that if you give them at least two

days notification, they can make a raw dinner. I say we all band

together for a joint raw dinner, as many Raw Seattle people as are

willing, to show our appreciation for them doing so many raw menu

nights. What do you all say? What days are best for you? I'm

pretty free. I would just want it to be a night other than Saturday,

because that's the night of Linda's regular potluck.

You can count us in. (I can't do Tuesday, I have a class that evening.)

I wholeheartedly agree about getting together at Cafe A for a raw dinner & showing our appreciation/support. The 2 days we can't do are Saturday the 26th or Mon. the 28th. If we made a reservation for Fri. night, we'd need to get a head-count today. Would folks like to do this Sunday night the 27th?Eric Scott Farris <rawseattle wrote:
