Guest guest
Howdy all, First of all, let me say Thanks! to all of you who have supported us at Madison Market so far. They are very pleased with the response and are continuing to increase their order volume and selection. I just received an e-mail from Ani Phyo of Smart Monkey Foods ( for whom we distribute to Madison Market) saying that she has been receiving positive feedback about the availability of their products in Seattle. My wife, Sue, and I started Livin' Spoonful to help spread the raw truth by enticing people with delicious choices...to show skeptics that there's plenty more to it than salads and apples. In the 1 1/2 years since we began, 4 more small start ups in Portland have begun offering organic raw treats. I'm very happy to be able to offer support to these new companies by sharing access to markets through my distribution chain. I encourage any of you who may be thinking about taking such an adventure to live your dream and not look back! I bet you would be surprised by how much sincere appreciation you'd receive for your efforts. To that effect, I gladly offer to share my experience as a first-time business owner and pioneer in raw food marketing to anyone who may be interested. I wanted to also let everyone know that some of our products are available at Rainbow Grocery. I'm not familiar with the geography of Seattle, so I don't know how close these two stores may be. I say this because due to shipping constraints, Rainbow Grocery is carrying only our dehydrated crackers and cookies. There is some possiblity that they could carry the refrigerated line up, but it would require a significant number of people requesting this of them. Basically, they would have to start buying produce from Organically Grown Company, the shipper that I use to move my refrigerated products outside of Portland. Do many raw foodies shop there?? I don't know, but I mention it just in case. To their credit, they are excited to be getting our stuff and seem to be committed to serving the raw community to the best of their ability. We continue to get e-mails every week from folks who almost can't believe that something so good and unique as a raw dish could be available for purchase. Thanks again for all the support. May we all be living examples of the raw truth. Jim Brosseau
Guest guest
Thank you so much for offering these products in the marketplace! We have tried several different products (from Madison Market), and they are good. (Hopefully, more hummus is en route...we bought the last 2 cartons on Saturday! We like the sundried tomato variety best.) Sue
Guest guest
Hi Sue, For the record, Madison Market receives our products on Saturday mornings. Rainbow Grocery receives every other week ( if they order) on Thursday. I'm glad you like the Sundried Tomato flavor...it's my favorite, too! Guest guest
I'll have to keep that in mind. I just went down to Madison Market and they were completely out of it all! I guess they need to order larger amounts from you! ~Shawna livinspoonful [jim] Tuesday, February 03, 2004 10:23 PM RawSeattle [RawSeattle] Re: Livin' Spoonful products now available at Rainbow Grocery Hi Sue, For the record, Madison Market receives our products on Saturday mornings.
