Guest guest
Hey, chocoholics... These are a bit (OK, quite a bit) pricey, but I've wondered about raw cacao beans, as well as raw coffee beans even before NFL began carrying them. I'm guessing there won't be many people who would want a 1 pound bag for $22.40 plus s/h (about $24.16), but with 190 members on the list, it's worth a try. I'm interested in 1 1-pound bag. I'm certainly not ready to pay 32++ for 1 pound. If we can buy at least 16, we can get the lower price. If, by chance we were to purchase a lot more than 12, I could try to swing a deal. Guest guest
Jeff (and everyone else), When Wolfe finds this food good enough to be his primary eatable, the NFL stock running out before, and other raw foodists I know of who really like this (Simon Fentress and family), I don't think we'll have a problem coming up with a bulk order of at least 12 1-lb. bags. :-) I'm positive it's safe to say raw chocalate is " the shi " ...fting experience for many a raw vegan. ;-) I'll gladly be counted in for 3 bags. Thanks, Eric
Guest guest
Conventional wisdom says raw cacao is " astringent " and " very bitter " , but then it's also uncomplimentary about durian:-) I'm curious enough to try the beans, Jeff. Please count me in for a pound. Btw, the price doesn't actually seem that high - here are some others not much lower in price and not even organic: http://www.stoneandgiacomotto.com/products-raw_cocoa_beans.php
Guest guest
I suspect the beans may be bitter, just as coffee beans may be. Interestingly enough, the Nature's First Law description did not reflect a bitter flavor, so I am certainly curious. We're up to 5 pounds, half-way there. Guest guest
Jeff I too have been interested in the raw cacao beans. I would love to be a part of the order. Are you going to be the one ordering? If so you can put me down for 1 or 2 pounds. Light and Love Ramona - Jeff Rogers RawSeattle Friday, February 20, 2004 9:03 PM [RawSeattle] Raw Org.
