Guest guest
[Rod] Obradovic and co-owner Lu Vuckovich are part of a small, but growing movement toward raw food. Obradovic got into the healthier cuisine when his cholesterol went up. As an alternative, he tried the food at Raw Truth, a raw food restaurant owned by his friend, Bob Saladino. He became sold on the health benefits when his cholesterol came under control without pharmaceuticals. A year ago, Obradovic and Vuckovich opened their first Go Raw location at the Lakes, and they took over Raw Truth in November. " I don't call it a diet, " Obradovic says. " I call it a way of living. This is the healthiest way of eating. " For the complete story of this raw food cafe, go to http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2004/Feb-25-Wed- 2004/living/23260838.html Ron Koenig Bellevue
Guest guest
I've eaten at the Raw Truth. The food was terrific. I'm glad to hear it is continuing, what ever the name! Guest guest
Actually, there are two separate raw foods restaurants in Las Vegas. You can get specific information on Go Raw Cafe at www.gorawcafe.com. See http://www.digitalcity.com/lasvegas/entertainment/venue.adp?vid=82561 for information on The Raw Truth. You can post a user review on the restaurant at the web site. Ron Koenig Bellevue RawSeattle , Jeff Rogers <jeff@t...> wrote: > I've eaten at the Raw Truth. The food was terrific. Guest guest
I haven't eaten at the Go Raw Cafe yet, just the Raw Truth, before the takeover. I read, a while back, that the Raw truth moved since I had eaten there too. When I head to a different city, I usually look up info on the internet regarding available raw foods, or at least some health food stores. This way, I can know where to get my food ahead of time. When you're planning travel, this info may help: On my website, soystache.com, I have a section on guides to vegetarian dining: http://www.soystache.com/links.htm#DiningGuides. You may find raw food restaurants listed there. While the majority of listings may focus on cooked foods, some of the restaurants may have fresh organic fruits and salads. There may also be listings for area health food stores. A quick call to the stores can also help me find raw-friendly restaurants. On my page of raw food links, I also have a link to a list of Raw Food Potlucks Across America:http://www.soystache.com/rawlinks.htm#RawFoodPotlucks. Guest guest
Jeff, I took a look at your links to fine organic and vegetarian dining and I notice that Morgantown WV is conspicuously missing from the list. I know not many other people get out this way but we have a fine, friendly and well-stocked co-op grocery and restaurant here in town and I'd hate for anyone to miss it. If you can please add them to the list. Maybe you can have a special section for RawSeattle alumni and close (distant) friends. http://www.mountaincoop.com/ BTW, no raw gourment food yet but they occasionally carry raw food books and there are other raw foodists around besides me. I've requested raw food samples from one of the vendors that posted on Raw Seattle and I'll take those in when they come.
