Guest guest
Hi Eric, Thanks for the discussion about juicing, btw, very good info. Everyone, I've been in touch with a friend (Andrea) who attended Raw World in Costa Rica, where she met Doug Graham. She told him she's from Seattle and he asked her to get in touch with some people up here and let them know that he will be in Seattle coming up on March 17-19. He'll just be visiting friends but is keen to get together with raw Seattlites. Does anyone want to get in touch with him and arrange something? Eric, Jeff, Linda? When she first told me about it she mentioned he wanted to give a presentation, but in her latest email she said he would " get together with anyone in any capacity that wanted to meet him, so people could just pick his brain if they wanted...no planning, no expectations. " She didn't give me a way of contacting him, but I believe he stays in close touch via email and his websites might even have his phone number since he does a lot of phone consulting. Sounds like it might be a good opportunity to get some free information. I'm too busy to set it up but might consider attending if something goes. Guest guest
Great! Doug Graham in Seattle would be FIRST! I think John Baer in Lynnwood has a fabulous house (huge) for a potluck! John, are you on this list? What is John's phone number anyway? I think I'd like to buy the hide- a-bed couch his landlady is selling... Sandra Steed has a great big house too-- on Beacon Hill. (More centrally located?) Sandra doesn't have email. Too bad Doug's coming during the week--- but I'll bet somebody could host a potluck during the week! Any takers? Guest guest
Maybe I can volunteer my daughter's house in Capital Hill (centrally located). Her fiance Craig has expressed interest in hosting a potluck to me. They just worry that they don't know how to prepare a raw dish. I'll talk to her tonight. Guest guest
I'd be able to attend a Thursday evening potluck, but neither the Wednesday or the Friday because of church rehearsals. We definitely need to give Doug a big Raw Seattle " WELCOME! " Fortunately, since he advocates eating simply, that should be easy to handle for a midweek potluck! (No time for gourmet " uncooking " midweek.) Sue Linda Reeves [heartsong] Thursday, March 04, 2004 12:15 PM RawSeattle Re: [RawSeattle]Doug Graham in Seattle Great! Guest guest
My daughter is interested in hosting the potluck. She just worrys that if too many people come they don't have enough chairs since Doug Graham is such a celebrity. I don't think that would be a problem, would it? So, Linda, are you gonna contact Doug Graham? Helen - " Linda Reeves " <heartsong <RawSeattle > Thursday, March 04, 2004 12:15 PM Re: [RawSeattle]Doug Graham in Seattle > Great! Guest guest
Hi Helen, Whomever is interested in hosting him needs to take full charge. I was only asked through a third party to post a note on the board to see if there was interest. I'm sure his contact info is on his websites, or you can probably find it at Vegsource.com, or maybe somebody here has it. Nora Helen wrote: > My daughter is interested in hosting the potluck. Guest guest
If the concern is chairs, I think people would be glad to bring extra chairs, esp. folding, that they might have at home to use for the event. We've got a few that we could bring, depending on the night that the potluck is held. Sue > My daughter is interested in hosting the potluck. Guest guest
So, first we need to find out if there is enough interest in a potluck with Doug Graham. Let's have a show of hands and see how many people will attend. I will if it's on Thursday or Friday.
