Good morning,

I am planning to enter a run next week to raise money for " diversity in health

care " . I haven't found out exactly what that means but I'm going on the

assumption that they will promote healthy food and exercise to stop the cause of

poor health (instead of financing the search for a " cure " ). Since I'm presuming

there will be people receptive to better diet suggestions I'd like to advertise

the raw food approach with a t-shirt. Does anyone know where I can get such a

shirt? All I've found are bumper stickers. (Since I don't drive that doesn't

help me.)

The run is Saturday, if I mail order today there's a chance I could get it in

time.

Thanks!

Good idea, Nick. If you can't find one ready made, have one made for you. It's

not that expensive. Or you can even do it yourself. Then you can pick the

slogan which would best appeal to your target audience.

Hi, Nick, I found another raw foods group where someone posted

a link to a raw foods t-shirt. The post is at

rawfood/message/7663 and the t-shirt is

found at http://www.believeinpeace.com/prod.html Scroll down until

you see the word RAW spelled out with fruit and vegetables. There is

a comment on the t-shirt at the very bottom of the page. The web

site says that they ship normally within 24 hours, so you should be

able to get it in time.

Nick,

If you decide to go with your own design, you don't have to go

through the silk-screening process. (I used to manage and co-own a

silk screening business). If you design your own logo/saying, you

should be able to create a file, whether Word or Photoshop, etc., and

take it to a Kinko's to print out onto a paper, which you can then

iron onto a (light colored) shirt. It will not ba a long-lasting,

high quality print, but should be good for the event. It just won't

last as long as silk screening. Note: you will have to create a

mirror image to print out, so it will come out correct on the shirt!

(I'm not sure of Word will do that.)

Jeff

PS: Kinko's would have programs like Photoshop to use. Give them a

call to ask about the transfer-iron-ons.

There are also " transfer sheets " for dark colored clothing as well. It has been

recommeded to me in t-shirt/crafting communities that even if you plan on using

a white t-shirt that it's better to use the t-shirt transfer sheets for dark

colors, as the colors will come out more vivid.

Good evening,

Well it turn out that diversity in health care means paying for medicines for

people that can't afford to. I think this makes it all the more important that

I have a raw food t-shirt. It appears that the race is being organized by

college students in the Health Sciences department of WVU, I'm hoping they're an

inquisitive and impressionable bunch. The best available one that I found was

from this link that Ron sent me. I'll probably make one too so I'm certain to

have it for the race.

Thanks for your help.

By the way, if anyone is looking for a business opportunity a better raw food

t-shirt really is needed.
