Hello Everyone:

I'm now adapting to a raw diet and would like some recommendations from all

of you

about the best books on the subject.

What instructional books and what cookbooks would you recommend?

Thanks!

M

Hi M,

For me, there are all kinds of recipe books, but the 2 books that really got

me feeling prepared to appreciate why I choose eating raw and how to go about

it are:

Fred Patenaude's book Raw Secrets and

Arlin, Dini, and Wolfe's book Nature's First Law.

Nature's First Law is a bit didactic, but in today's world were so much goes

against the ease and simplicity of nature, it takes such a jolt to shake one

out of the modern, unhealthy way of living that it's helpful. The information

in this book is deep and broad spanning and a good choice for a first raw read.

Patenaude's book answers many questions that are helpful in eating raw food

as a lasting lifestyle. He simplifies raw eating and makes it easily do-able.

All the best to you.

Jocelyn

Better to read Raw Eating by Hovanessian than Nature's First Law. NFL is a

plagiarized ripoff of Hovanessian's book. You can get it from Hallelujah Acres,

last I heard.

Hi Milarepa,

All the books on these websites below are great, read them all!

The best thing to do is to attend the Portland Raw Foods Festival

next week and purchase your books directly from the authors. Lately,

my favorite books have been " Living on Live Food " by Alissa Cohen

and " Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine " by Dr. Gabriel Cousens.

Mike:

I'd attend except that I live near Sacramento, CA and it's a bit too far.
