Guest guest
I had a weird freak accident in which my right index fingertip got squeezed in a door. It doesn't look any different, but it's been nearly 2 weeks and I still don't have complete feeling in it. Obviously I damaged my nerves. I assumed the feeling would come back in a day or two but now I'm starting to worry. Is there anything I can do? Besides waiting it out, that is? I've thought of having a doc look at it, but I'm not sure what they could do besides x-raying it and handing me a big bill. Some suggestions I've gotten so far: Fasting, massage, neodymium magnets, B-12, Vitamin E oil applied topically. I don't know where to start with the magnets Glad it's not my guitar fretting hand! Guest guest
This is an old remedy your granny will recall. Soak, in apple cidar vinegar, the brown stuff with the mother, any crushed, stubbed, bruised portion of your body, say your finger, 20 min. 2 times each day. You can reuse the vinegar. The stronger the better, but 2 c. in the bath can reduce remove pain in the whole body. This somehow establishes cellular homeostasis which will take away the pain and allow the body to heal the tissue in a much quicker fashion. At the time of injury is best, but don't wait. Use also for sunburns, bites, etc. Amazing. This is what Bowenwork uses for pain instead of ice or heat with exception of meds. - Mark Hovila RawSeattle Friday, August 20, 2004 4:28 PM [RawSeattle] crushed finger (off topic) I had a weird freak accident in which my right index fingertip got squeezed in a door. Guest guest
Kevin, Thanks! But there really isn't any pain to speak of, just numbness. Will this bring back the feeling? Guest guest
What I would do is to eat a good variety of raw greens with cayenne pepper on them, which acts as a catalyst carrier to bring the nutrition to the affected area to speed up healing.
