KFC Cruelty Demo Friday, August 8 6:30 to 8:00 PM 470 Lake Park Avenue, Oakland (Right off 580--Grand Ave Exit) Info: We will be in front of KFC handing out Why Vegans and showing Meet Your Meat. === 2. Veggie Outreach at Oakland A’s Game Tuesday, August 12 Time: 6:30 to 7:30 PM Location: Staircase connecting the Oakland Bart Station to the Coliseum Pedestrian Overpass Info: The Coliseum is now the home to the veggie dog (not vegan, yet) & other healthy goodies! Dog Chain-Off 2003 Saturday, August 16 Time: 1:00 to 4:00 PM Location: Target, El Cerrito, 11450 San Pablo Ave Info: We will be handing out literature to promote the humane treatment of companion dogs and show the connection between violence towards animals and violence towards humans. Although dogs are “pack animals” whose well-being relies on socialization and physical activity, countless dogs across the country are kept in backyards at the ends of chains, isolated from the companionship and comfort they long for. The result, more often than not, is a neurotic, unpredictable, and often aggressive animal.
