Guest guest
Dear All, I'm looking for SF restaurants (other than Herbivore) serving vegan breakfasts on Sundays. All suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks. Best, Michael Michael R. Guest guest
Well the best place use to be the Millennium, but they've stopped doing the Sunday brunch. They tried it at the new location and say they didn't get enough folks. Let's all start calling and writing and getting that brunch back! It was the best deal around. Actually I liked their brunch more than the evening service. - chuck On Friday, August 8, 2003, at 06:05 AM, Dr. Michael R. Guest guest
sadly, vegan brunch seems to have disappeared in san francisco. after the closing of organic city and valentine's, there's pretty much nothing left, except for herbivore. but herbivore's brunch only runs on weekends, and they stop serving at 11am. brunch should *begin* at 11am! on the plus side, this is an excellent time for someone to jump on the opportunity and open somewhere new or expand their existing offering. Steve, not sure where you got the 11 a.m. info... but you'll be happy to hear this: Herbivore's serves brunch on the weekends until 2 pm. As far as I know, this has been the case since they first opened and it is *still* the case. I just called them to confirm. Herbivore's (#2) 531 Divisadero/Fell San Francisco, CA USA Phone: 415-885-7133 http://www.vegdining.com/GetRest.cfm?rk=US-CA-SF-HERB2 I'm organizing a brunch there for all the brunch-hungry folks later this month. Guest guest
Two other places that serve a tofu scramble brunch are: Squat and Gobble and Miss Millies. Both places also serve Meat dishes so you take your chances when you order. In the case of Miss Millies, you have to tell them to leave off the cheese. Squat & Gobble has at least two locations: One is on Haight Street near Masonic and the other is on 16th Street near Market in the Castro area. Miss Millies is located on 24th Street near Castro in the Noe Valley area. Warren
Guest guest
The last time i checked (about 2 years ago), Squat and Gobble's home fries which are served with the tofu scramble are not vegan as they are cooked with butter. I certainly do miss Organic City and Valentines... mud biguyskrsf wrote: >Two other places that serve a tofu scramble brunch are: Squat and Gobble and Miss Millies. >Both places also serve Meat dishes so you take your chances when you order.
