Relatedly, yesterday in Santa Rosa the California Fish & Game Commission

voted three-to-two to approve the damnable (and highly effective)

" roboduck " electronic decoy. Voting in favor: Mike Flores (president),

Jim Kellogg, Bob Hattoy (apparently those 7 years with the Sierra Club

didn't do him much good). Voting to ban the roboduck: Mike Chrisman

(who did a super job, thoughtful and articulate, changing his position),

and Sam Schuchat. All five need to hear from us, with copies to the

Dept. of Fish and Game (d.cassidy)

The room was packed with duck hunters, overwhelmingly in opposition to

the use of this highly unethical device, all to no avail. Even the

California Waterfowl Association (18,000 members) spoke out strongly in

favor of a ban on all electronic decoys, including the roboduck.

Wisconsin doves need help.

Right now we have a slight lead in this poll. The

HSUS is working hard to keep dove hunting out of

Wisconsin, despite some pretty bad odds. Please take

10 seconds to vote in this online poll. Often the

media reports on these polls.
