Guest guest
Laura, Do you mean like a Tofurky or UnTurkey? Most health food stores have them now, although you'll probably have to order them in advance for Thanksgiving. We got our Tofurky two years ago from Buffalo Whole Foods in SF, and an UnTurkey from Rainbow Grocery. But I've seen them many places, including Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. -Kim On Thu, 13 Nov 2003, Laura wrote: > Hi Veggies, > > I'd like to get a vegetarian TURKEY for Thanksgiving. Guest guest
Tofurkeys are readily available at Whole Foods and some other Natural Foods stores around the Bay. http://www.tofurky.com/purchasing.htm#california I think this is the best value for a tofu turkey product. The " giblet gravy " is a bit wierd -- I recommend making your own. This recipe is pretty good: http://www.boutell.com/vegetarian/gravy.html Another option is the Unturkey from Now and Zen available from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's during the Holidays. This can be a bit creepy as it is in the shape of an actual turkey (albeit a bit flat) and it features a " skin " . http://www.nowandzen.net/unturkey.html Good Luck! Guest guest
Does anyone know if these are organic? I hate the idea that nearly all soy (if not all?) is GMO, unless organic.
