Farm Sanctuary Hoe Down - MAY BE CANCELLED!

I just wanted to send a friendly reminder about Farm Sanctuary's Hoe Down coming up on May 8th.

Their numbers have been so low the last few years that if they don't see healthy numbers this year, they're not going to be able to continue having their annual hoe downs. They made it earlier this year to see if that helps, they've lowered the price to $25 (a worthy thing to spend such a small amount of money on), and they've changed the format so you don't HAVE to sleep over but can if you want to.

Farm Sanctuary is ONLY two hours away, it's a magical place, they will be showing The Peaceable Kingdom, and they will have great presentations from such amazing people as lauren Ornelas from Viva! USA. Don't miss it!

I haven't heard anything about carpools, but I do encourage those going up to organize something, if possible. It's so worth going - if not to meet the animals but to meet Gene and Lorri, who happen to be two of the most hard-working people on behalf of farmed (and other) animals.

So, there's my schpiel. :)

They're not cancelling THIS year's! I wrote that they will cancel the Hoe Down in the future if this year doesn't show that people will come up for the hoe downs.
