Guest guest
Hello, Maybe this has already been brought up, but I just found out that Northwest Airlines has discontinued serving vegetarian meals on their flights as of September 1st of this year. Did anyone else know about this? I'm wondering if I should write to the airline about it. I found out when on one of their flights this past weekend and they came around with lunch and I said I ordered a vegetarian meal. That's when they told me they discontinued them. So all they had were ham or turkey sandwiches, no vegetarian or vegan meals So if you fly NWA, make sure to pack some food or you might not have anything to eat. Guest guest
Yes write the airlines about it. The customer has a lot more power then you realize. Sun Flour Baking Company a Vegan company serves Continental airlines and American airlines for their special meals still with no end in site. They love to hear from customers. In fact, airlines are moving towards buy on board programs which will give the customer even more choices including vegan all the time. Sun Flour has been in contact with the distributors for the airlines to submit the large 3.5 oz, and 4 oz cookies. They have started structuring menus and are beginning to sell on board. Now it's up to us as Vegans to make the demand. Also I have first hand information that Continental airlines most requested meals are Vegetarian meals. So keep speak up! It's up to you to make a difference!
