Call Assemblymembers to Urge Them to Stop Cruel School Slaughter!

This is a great opportunity to outlaw a

practice that should never have been allowed to take place and yet happens in

schools all over California. Please take a few moments to make phone calls to the assemblymembers listed below. It will just take a minute to

call, and is as simple as, “Hi, I’m calling to ask the assemblymember to vote YES on AB1685 to outlaw the

slaughtering of animals on schools.” They may ask where you’re

calling from; you tell them, they thank you, and then you’re done and

ready to call the next assemblymember!

Stop Cruel School Slaughter!

In California

schools, students may be forced to watch the LIVE, brutal slaughter of

animals as part of the curriculum. Teaching slaughter in schools is inhumane,

unnecessary, and a waste of education funding — school systems should

be teaching compassion, not violence.

Assemblymember Klehs has introduced necessary

legislation to stop this practice. Assembly

Bill 1685 would prohibit the cruel and unnecessary slaughter of animals

in schools.

 

This humane measure will be heard by the State Assembly sometime before June

3. Please contact your Assemblymember and urge him or her to support this

measure!
