I rather like them and think they do a good job. Guest guest
they were humungous, beautiful, impressive, you know that I am a city person. the birds that I am seeing here are trippin me out! for the first time in my life, I am not reading about animals in a book. I only saw pigeans and squirrels in nyc. the vultures I saw were kind of gray and black with a reddish head. it was my husband that knew their names. otherwise I would've just though that they were just condors or big something. I have to work on the indentifying them part. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote: > > i wonder if they were black er turkey vultures..... > > > heartwerk <jo.heartwork@g...> > Oct 18, 2005 4:33 PM > > Re: good news! > > Hi Anouk > > I'm afraid I didn't get a picture when I followed the link. > > I have only ever seen vultures in zoos. Guest guest
no I can't take credit for it. my husband got a towel, and he put on gardening gloves and that is how he was able to get him. I have not been able to visit him. I have just called. and he is eating good foods. we let the bird hospital keep the cat carrier, and we gave them a bunch of old baby blankets, when we dropped him off we wrote down a small check for his expenses. and they send us through the mail which arrived today a free membership card for the whole year! , " earthstrm " <nikkimack@m...> wrote: > > Hi Anouk > > You are one brave woman! Guest guest
Shannon As far as I knew Brewers Yeast always was on the not ok list. Nutritional Yeast on the other hand has been okay. BL I was just at my nutritionist's appointment, and I got some good news. In January 2006, there will be a gluten-free oats available from creamhillestates.com called Pure Oats. How totally cool is that?! The other good news is that Shelley Case (a gf/celiac researcher) has determined that Maltodextrin and Natural Flavouring on ingredients lists are always safe unless otherwise noted. Yippee! The only bad news I got is that Brewer's Yeast has been moved to Not OK.

Although I was planning to use it in a few months, I guess I'll have to find something else. Shannon

Guest guest
When I contacted the owner of Vegan Gourmet, about the brewers yeast, she told me that it IS gluten free and that they were trying to get the labels changed. It is actually a nutritional yeast. So definitely check with the manufacturer. I don't know what I would do with out my vegan gourmet " cheese " !!! Guest guest
According to Peta, J. Crew has announced that it will never again sell fur. Some of us wrote letters at BAV letter-writing parties asking J.Crew to stop selling fur. It's so wonderful to see our efforts, combined with others', making a difference! On a similar note, there are a couple skin care items I had stopped using in the past few years when I realized they contained animal products (whey & lanolin), even though the companies don't test on animals. I let both companies know I had been using the products for years but now would stop buying them. To my great surprise, when I wishfully rechecked the labels recently, both animal products were gone! I'm not saying I made this happen -- but certainly taking the time to speak up didn't do any harm! Thea DSL Something to write home about. Just $16.99/mo. or less
