Hi [Mike] just thought you would be interested in this:

Mr. Rotstein: I cannot believe you are defending " alleged " rapist Daniel

House...I thought you were an animal rights attorney..well you can be assured

I will never consult you nor will my friends and word is being passed around

the animal rights community...how can you justify defending this monster?

1. If you cannot believe it, I asume that means you do not know why I

would. Is that true? If so, why do you assume the worst?

2. Why do you assume the " accused " to be guilty?

3. If I have a very good reputation as an animals rights attorney, then how

could you and your friends forego the opportunity to have me represent them

and their animals when the need comes? Who's loss is that, mine or " Fido's " ?

4. In this country all (men) are entitled to representation. Not like you,

I believe in the rights of animals and the rights of humans as well. What are

you so worried about?

5. Maybe you should speak to an attorney about the laws of " Defamation " and

" Intentional Interference With (my) Business Relationships " . Or have you?

6. Did you know that defending the unpopular is the most important thing an

attorney can do?

On which his page amazingly says this:

" Michael Rotsten . Attorney at Law

An Animal Rights Lawyer Devoted to Activities That Advance the Welfare,

Protection, and Rights of Animals and their people. "

Yet he is DEFENDING this guy who gave a STATEMENT to the arresting deputy

regarding entering the stables in question over 300 times for his purposes,

he was also out on BAIL for another animal charge at the time. How is

defending this guy helping ANIMALS???

The complete arrest report with the statements and evidence, and a newspaper

clipping is at:

http://members.xoom.com/pro4animal/house.html

Read that and tell me if an animal rights attorney should even talk to this

dude let alone defend him!

I was informed by one of the victims, that a gelding subsequently DIED from

rectal bleeding, the vet didn't figure out till it was too late what had

happened because at first no one suspected sexual assaults.

The attorney in question was on the ALDF lawyer referral list until they were

notified of this case, there was a link going to what was supposed to be a

student law page but instead was redirected to Ann Rotsten's commercial

photography web site. That link was also removed.

Any activists or groups having involvement with this person, links on your

web site or knowlege of him as being a member of your group, you might want

to change this after reading the arrest report etc.

I don't think the animal rights community should be supporting in any way, an

attorney who is defending someone like this, he is not a public defender, so

he is getting paid by " someone " , and the animals be damned I guess. So much

for personal integrity and ethics.
