It has come to my attention that Keith Russell, the Raleigh office AKC cruelty investigator and the AKC have essentially FAILED to, and is not going to take action on the numerous reports, hundreds of complaints, evidence provided as well as seen and verified by himself and numerous others- regarding the bestiality animal sex web site associated with a domain name and appearing on a web server registered by a Golden Retriever breeder/AKC licensed field trial judge. Essentially then, AKC by their inept stupidity have failed to act to suspend and remove this individual, thereby condoning and approving of bestiality. The AKC has been jerking all of us and the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) off for 7 months, meanwhile the individual has changed the registration on the domain name to *MY* name as " technical contact " , with a similar look-alike AOL email address attached. The GRCA was/is absolutely positively dedicated to doing something about this, my contacts with the club president and board were met with the utmost respect, curtesy, interest, concern and willingness to take action but their ability to do anything is limited- they are not a law enforcement or legal entity. Unfortunately the AKC jerked them off too for 7 months and then left them hanging out to dry and deal with the problem on their own with no help. AKC is the one with the clout who should have acted FIRST and promptly. The individual is STILL causing and facilitating a public web site which is promoting engaging in vaginal and anal sex activities with DOGS (among other animals) and now has an official " green light " to spread the word to his bestiality buddies on-line that the AKC approves, condones and ignores bestiality, web sites promoting bestiality etc. and that people, even AKC breeder/judges can promote bestiality on a public forum and AKC will condone sex with dogs by doing nothing. It is clear to me that AKC is protecting their own (An AKC licensed field trial judge) or that someone is getting some substantial cash under the table to turn a blind eye to this issue. You put faith in the " system " to follow their own rules, bi-laws and public propaganda about protecting the welfare of dogs, and in the end they fail. The AKC is a prime example of this, be it registering puppy mill stock, non existing litters or ignoring sexual abuse of dogs. This of course comes on the heels of the dateline and puppy mill story issues and all the rest. I suggest when clubs and members come to a point where AKC tries to enforce a rule, fine or whatever, that the bestiality issue be brought up. Folks have my okay to forward this to the dateline, 60 minutes or??? reporters, and any other " anti AKC " reporters. I will be happy to give the information I have to any interested bona-fide reporters or writers interested in another AKC expose', or adding this to other issues involving AKC's shortcomings. Thanks for everyone's help, but as I suspected AKC doesn't care about anything other than money garnered from registrations, Add me to the growing list of fed up animal lovers who will be happy to see AKC get it's due.
