Regarding the arrest of Rodger Powell for bestiality, and the Daily Herald

story;

 

>ENFIELD -- A 59-year-old Enfield man [ Rodger Powell ] was arrested for his

unnatural love of

>animals Thursday night by Halifax County Sheriff's Deputy Gregory Richardson.

 

>A 10-year-old boy reported to his mother that it was the third time he had

witnessed

 

>Powell was charged with a crime against nature, a felony in North Carolina.

>The magistrate set a $1,000 unsecured bond.

>Powell will be evaluated by Mental Health on June 12 " To find out why he like

>to do that, " Ward said.

The court date is set for;

 

July 5 in Halifax county.

 

The other information was that the accused was caught showing children how to

engage in this activity with animals, that explains how a ten year old boy

witnessed acts of bestiality between the accused and a pig, ( and then

reported same to his mother according to the newspaper )

 

We are forwarding all of this, including his home address, phone etc to the

HSUS, ASPCA and other forums, we need to find out who the judge is, and the

courtroom location, time etc for the next action alert as the trial nears.

Having admitted he engaged in this twice a day for the last year, this animal

endured this all that time.

 

As the only law protecting animals in the state of North Carolina on this was

" crimes against nature " which could be thrown out of court, activists need to

help animals as well as children exposed to this by contacting the judge with

your concerns.

 

This is another example of why a bestiality law is far better than trying to

use an old outdated sodomy law like this " crimes against nature " law which is

likely to be thrown out of court.

If there is anyone in N.C., more specifically Halifax county who might be

able to get the judge information etc., please do so.
