Guest guest
PLEASE CROSS POST!! MESSAGE from CAROL MOON of FARM SANCTUARY: POSTED in Msg Bd of Meetup by Roseann: http://vegan.meetup.com/27/boards/view/viewthread?thread=2857031Are you a cat or dog rescuer who shows respect for all animals by not eating them? Then you may be interested in the "THE ANIMAL PROJECT"! The Animal Project, a cat/dog rescue group based in upper Manhattan, would love to talk with you. We will be showing mainly cats (and a few dogs) in the PetCo on 92nd and Broadway on Saturdays. We would like for our group to reflect consistency in our compassion for all sentient beings. If you are a vegan and would love to help cats and dogs find permanent, loving homes, please contact us. We need the following:1. Volunteers to help set up cages, handle friendly cats, and talk with prospective adopters 2. Volunteers with vehicles to help transport animals and cages from as far as 200th St. to PetCo at 92nd and Broadway, and back 3. Volunteers to help post photos and descriptions on the Internet, make posters, and do other promotional work 4. A trained vet tech or someone who knows how to draw blood from cats and kittens (we do our own FeLV/FIV testing)This will be a unique rescue group, and we encourage those interested to respond as soon as possible. The first scheduled showing could be March 24. Even if you are almost vegan, please respond. We are not requiring the cats to go veg but are open to suggestions about this. We look forward to hearing from you!Phone: (212) 567-4556E-mail: kids (AT) farmsanctuary (DOT) org Patricia Breen www.petstorecruelty.org Food fight?
