Guest guest
WDCS A huge thank you to all who have supported our campaign exposing the links between parts of the fishing industry and whaling in Iceland. Following the discovery of these links, with your help we have called on supermarkets and fish suppliers in the UK to reassure their consumers that they don't buy fish from companies in Iceland linked to whaling. Iceland seems intent on continuing its scientific and commercial whaling hunts and WDCS remains deeply concerned about the seafood industry's commitment to the conservation of whales. We've also asked the supermarkets to reassure consumers that they do not buy into the whalers' false arguments that whaling is needed to protect fish stocks and for a guarantee that their seafood procurement policies will reflect these concerns. Leading UK fish supplier, Young's maintains that the whaling and fishing industries in Iceland are separate, despite evidence to the contrary. Please help by signing our petition and urging Young's to support whale protection efforts.
