Guest guest
When: Saturday, March 25, 7:00pm Where: Bay Leaf Cafe, Palo Alto (520 Ramona St.) Please RSVP to reserve a spot! Tomorrow we will meet for our monthly Palo Alto Letter Writing Party in Palo Alto. Over some of the best food in the Bay Area, we will advocate for animals in letters to businesses and elected officials. For the first time, the focus will be on local issues. Undoubtedly, we live in one of the most progressive and veg-friendly areas in the United States. Yet it often seems that local businesses fall short when it comes to responsible treatment of animals. On Saturday evening we will consider a range of important questions. Do any bay area grocers lag behind in animal welfare standards? How well do our elementary schools accommodate vegetarian students? Do any local restaurants boil lobsters alive? We will fuse our power as local citizens and consumers to improve the lives of our many voiceless friends. Novices, gurus, vegans, and non-vegetarians are all welcome. You should also feel free to bring any issues that you feel strongly about. See you there, Ben Davidow
