Guest guest
Hi All: I am looking for a veggie substitute for jell-o(gelatin). I read that Agar-Agar can be used as a substitute for jell-o. Where can I buy it in south bay area at an affordable price?(sunnyvale, santa clara area).Whole Foods? Any other place? Thank you in advance for your help! Guest guest
We use agar flakes when we make tofu cheezecake. For agar, we typically find two long blocks in a package sells for a $1 at Asian Food stores, and comes with instructions to make a "jello" type product. We just use a food processor to flake it. I think its much more expensive when purchased at natural food stores.
