vegan ice cream fudge bars, tastes like fudgsicles

Hi folks

It's been amazing spring weather all weekend, sunny, blue skies, warm -- I hope the great weather lasts through next week as we have a lot of leafleting activities planned for Meatout, but that's not what I'm writing about now (but if you want the details for that, see the website event calendar - http://bayareaveg.org/events )

I found a new (to me) product at my local Trader Joe's that just seemed rather timely. Y'know, warm weather, ice cream .. except it's ice cream on a stick! Organic So Delicious Creamy Fudge Bars (on a stick). The TJs in Daly City had them in 2 flavors; the second flavor was a citrus. 3 bars for $2.59 They're only 90 calories each, 2g of total fat, and totally yummy.

It reminded me alot of the fudgsicles that I enjoyed as a (non-vegan) kid. I think "kids" of all ages will like these, so wanted to share the news.

And, on the vegan ice cream theme, Sundaes & Advocacy (on Sunday, of course) next week will be at MaggieMudd's, which is a total delight and dilemma at the same time (i.e. so many vegan ice cream flavors to choose from, and whether to have them as ice cream, shakes, sundaes, banana split, a cake with your picture on it, etc). Writing letters is a great way to help animals AND a wonderful opportunity to indulge in such delightful vegan treats.

We've had many events at MM over the years and people are always amazed at the vegan ice creams. So, if you have not been to MM before, this is a great opportunity to check them out and also do the write thing!
