Guest guest
I was in Amsterdam last month and I tried several vegetarian restaurants there. I can highly reccomend De Waaghals located at Frans Halsstraat 29. It was excellent and there is a great vegetarian natural foods store right next door. The other place I really enjoyed was Bolhoed located at Prinsengracht 60-62. I also tried Green Planet but didn't really like it very much. You might have better luck. There is a chain called Maoz Falafel located at several spots around AMsterdam and elsewhere in Europe as well. The best place to find veggie restaurants is at www.happycow.net. You can find these and more on there. Have fun. Amsterdam is really a beautiful place. Warren************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Ajay, I am not really sure about vegan restaurants but you can find lots of vegetarian options. There are indian restaurants, surenamese, lots of bakeries etc. You can find surenamese restaurant where they serve roti with potatoes and beans, very delicious and filling. Even McDonalds serve veggie burger, Its called Gronteburger. Hope this helps. Raj
Guest guest
i would ike t o comment that, while we were in Amsterdam in April, we stopped at a Maoz Falafel, (they really are all over..) and i have to say, it was probably the WORSE falafel we've ever had. find one of the De Natuurwinkel grocery stores and make yourselves a nice canal side picnic lunch cheers fraggle >1a.
