Guest guest
I'm looking for a restaurant or cafe where I can have a semi-private meeting for about 15 people. Do you know of any place that has a separate room, or at least a main room big enough for a group to sit off in a corner? Doesn't have to be fancy. Doesn't have to be all vegan, but must be able to do vegan for us. I would prefer San Francisco but East Bay could work. Thank you! Guest guest
Alex, you did not say what time of day you were thinking of, but Town's End, may work for daytime. It is a large , pleasant dining room, quieter on weekdays, and my sister, says that they have vegan pancakes available for via special request. Similarly, they may offer vegan dinner items, if you call ahead. My other thought is Greens " , which used to have a separate room. http://www.townsend-restaurant.com/menus.htm and review: http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/listings/restaurants/venue?vid=181260 Shelley ( Alex wrote: I'm looking for a restaurant or cafe where I can have a semi-private meeting for about 15 people.) We have used this outdoor venue for receptions, lectures, birthday parties, business meetings - and we can provide microphone and speakers as well. And Kitchen Manager Aden has devised a variety of wonderful all-vegan hors d'oeuvres -- the meeting space is free IF you will just buy some food from us! If you're not familiar with the Manzanita, our specialty is macrobiotic and vegan, and we're close to 100% organic - struggling for a full 100% if I can just keep my bargain-crazy Russian wife away from Berkeley Bowl's Saturday-morning fruit-shelf specials . . .. --- George French, Manzanita Manager/Owner
Guest guest
Layonna in SF has a huge back area/room that is always empty. Bok Choy's private room might not be available, due to fixing up. (I don't have the latest update) Layonna and Bok Choy Garden are across the street from each other and both sort of need more business. winnie , Alex Bury <alex wrote: > > I'm looking for a restaurant or cafe where I can have a semi-private > meeting for about 15 people. Guest guest
I want to second Winnie's recommendation of Layonna. I ate there for the 1st time yesterday with the BAV Vegan Book Club, and it was very quiet in the back. It felt like we had this big space all to ourselves. They have a HUGE VEGAN MENU. So many things to choose from. Be sure to bring an appetite! I think this would be great for a meeting of 15 to 20 people. Or more! , " sunny_outdoors " <sunny_outdoors wrote: > > Layonna in SF has a huge back area/room that is always empty. > > > , Alex Bury <alex@> wrote: > > > > I'm looking for a restaurant or cafe where I can have a semi- private meeting for about 15 people.
