Guest guest
Last week, 7,994 copies of Vegan Outreach material were distributed across California. Fifteen schools in seven cities were covered by seven individuals. See the list at the end of the email for the specifics. People sometimes take the time to tell us about our impact. At San Joaquin Delta College, a student told a leafleter, after receiving an Even If You Like Meat earlier in the day, “You really changed the way I thought about eating meat. The information in here is really terrible. I don't think I could ever eat another chicken, pig or cow after seeing these pictures.” Also this week, three students in Sacramento, seeing people leafleting, spontaneously decided to stop right there and help leaflet. One of the things I love about leafleting is how there is no ramp up time; just pick up the booklets and start handing them out! The more time we devote to outreach, the more animals will be taken out of the system. I am leafleting throughout Northern California. If you would like to join this ongoing education effort, contact me and I'll let you know when I'll be in your area. Or, if you'd like to strike out on your own, contact me and I'll give you all the information you need to get started. I hope to hear from you; only when we all wield our personal power and speak up against oppression will there be meaningful change for the lives of non-human animals. Together, we can effect great change in this world in this lifetime. Next week (the week of the 24th) will be a particularly important week of outreach, as a number of schools are starting for the year and students will be at their most receptive. I will be leafleting at Stanford, De Anza College, CSU East Bay and UC Santa Cruz next week; if you live or work near any of those schools, please take an hour to leaflet with or without me during the day. Again, if you’re interested in leafleting with me, send me an email and I’ll send you the details. Thank you to the many people who chose to do this work this past week. I am continually inspired by your dedicated effort.
