Hi all,

I got this alert from PCRM that the California Environmental Protection Agency is accepting comments, which can include comments about animal testing. I hope you will consider posting a short comment there. If you're not familiar with why animal testing is harmful, please review the following links:

Additionally, the Food for Thought Book Club will be reading Specious Science: How Genetics and Evolution Reveal Why Medical Research on Animals Harms Humans later this year.

Cheers,

Tammy

The California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) is looking for recommendations for “green chemistry” policies and regulations, which could include large-scale toxicity testing initiatives that would result in the deaths of thousands of animals. You can help prevent these animal tests by contacting the CalEPA today!

PCRM scientists have attended meetings and workshops held at CalEPA in order to provide the agency with recommendations on how to protect human health without resorting to cruel laboratory tests on animals. CalEPA is also accepting public comments from Californians until Friday, Nov. 16. Please take a moment to compose a short statement on the importance of researching and developing human-focused testing methods, such as cell and tissue assays.
