Guest guest
Looking for a little light reading to take your mind off holiday stress? The California Dairy Industry sent a letter to PETA, demanding they cease and desist the " Got Pus? Milk Does! " campaign. PETA's response is fantastic and made me laugh out loud: http://blog.peta.org/archives/2007/12/dairy_lawyers_t_1.php (be sure to read the letters) And speaking of blogs (the dairy story is on the PETA blog)...PETA now has three blogs, and from what I understand, there is a bit of competition between the three Blog Masters. Jack (PETA Files), Amy (VegCooking) and Karen (the Dog Blog) would all like to be the most-read blog on the Internet. Personally, I would like to see all three of them in the top 3 spots, but I will admit to a weakness for KP's Dog Blog. One of our very own Bay Area activists and writers, Lisa, recently wrote a guest post about rescuing a shelter dog. It is gorgeous and worth forwarding to anyone you know who is thinking of buying a dog. Here are the blogs. Please forward your favorite to your friends and family so that Karen, Amy or Jack can feel better. PETA Files: http://blog.peta.org/archives/2007/11/back_to_work_pl_1.php Dog Blog: http://blog.helpinganimals.com/2007/11/shes_a_shelter_dog.php VegCooking http://blog.vegcooking.com/2007/11/applecinnamon_upsidedown_cake.php Alex Get off the couch! http://www.veganhealth.org/run/home
Guest guest
in case you didn't know, PETA and John Robbins had a law suit against the Milk Board They haven't been able to stop them from advertising.. " happy cows live in California " (what a joke-try being a caged cow, that's milked to death for a day, forced pregancy, injected with hormones.....blah..blah..) http://www.unhappycows.com/CAmilkboard.asp the Milk Industry is POWERFUL....They've got millions + dollars, plus high power lawyers to go with it...and sleeps with the government http://www.foodrevolution.org/lawsuit_milkboard.htm Most of us know this already but a few of us, do not... winnie , Alex Bury <alex wrote: > > Looking for a little light reading to take your mind off holiday > stress?
